The following schemes have been completed
during the past three years.

Construction of two additional class room and
provision of furniture and library books at
Govt College
of Commerce Bannu.
upgradation of Govt Commercial Training Institute

to the level of Commerce College.
Upgradation of Govt, commercial Trg Institute
Nowshera to the level of Commerce College.
The following components have been accomplished
under Technical Education Project (ADB Assisted):-
Completion of
following civil works:
Construction of Workshop and Additional Classrooms
at Govt College of Technology, Peshawar.
Construction of 20 students at Govt Polytechnic
Institute for women Peshawar.
Construction of Category-III Residences at
Govt Polytechnic Institute Timergara.
Provision of Instruction Materials:
Delivery of library books at all Govt College
of Technology and Polytechnic Institutions
in NWFP completed.
The Employment Exchange Offices working in
13 districts on 10th February,1998, 183 staffers
were closed by the then Government of NWFP.
The present Government has reestablished Employment
Exchanges in 09 districts i.e. Peshawar, Kohat,
Bannu, D.I.Khan, Mardan, Mingora, Chitral,
Lower Dir and Abbottabad. The employment exchanges
are working as facilitating agency and performing
the following function:-
Registration of job seekers.
Placement of Registered Job seekers
Notification of vacancies.
Survey of labour market.
Supply of labour market information.
Maintenance of up-to-date report on defense
planning.
Maintenance of essential manpower registers.
To meet manpower requirements Armed
Forces during emergency and war.
Information of vacancies to the interested
job seekers specially women living in rural
area.
Vocational Guidance and Career Counseling
at Schools level.
Implementing of:-
Essential Personnel (Registration) Ordinance
1948.
Control of Employment Ordinance, 1965.
Compulsory services in Armed Forces Ordinance
1971.
Operation of Disabled persons (Employment
& Rehabilitation) Ordinance
1981.
