The Director Land Records
acts under the direct supervision and
control of the Board of Revenue. He/she
performs the following functions/duties:

The supervision
of the Patwari and Kanungo Agency and
the inspection of the records of rights
and statistical records compiled through
its means. The posting of settlement Kanungos
and Mappers. His duties with regard to
settlements are defined in Appendix VI-B,
of the settlement manual. |

|
The control of the income and expenditure
of mutation fees and of all expenditures
on contingencies connected with the Kanungo
and Patwari establishment and with the
revenue record. |

|
Crop, price and weather reports, return
of wages and of agricultural statistics,
crop experiments by District Officers
and cattle census. |

|
Rain gauges |
|
Control of Certain Charges |
|
|
Mutation fees |
|
|
Copying and inspection fees of Patwaris
records. |
|
|
All expenditure on contingencies connected
with the Kanungo and Patwari establishment
and with the revenue records. |
|
|
All expenditure on and income from consolidation
of holdings under the Revenue Department.
|
|
|
All expenditure on and income from Copying
Fees for the preparation of Produce Statement
and 5 years abstracts of yields. |
|
|
All expenditure on and income from
tuition fees and examination fee from
Patwari candidates, receiving training
in the Patwari School. |
|
|
All expenditure on and income from examination
from Naib Tehsildars and Kanungo candidates. |
