Introduction
This is a pilot project for computerization
of Police Department which will be extended
thereafter through out the province
in next phase. Present phase will be
limited to the District Swat. Following
are the main features of the project:
Setup of a Central Server Room in the
Central Police Office at Peshawar.
Setup a training center for police in
the District Swat.
Provide computers, network, internet,
biometric data equipment and digital
cameras to the Police Stations, Posts
(Chowkis) and the Officers in District
Swat.
The main objective of the project
is the availability of the important
information regarding cases, staff,
and equipment, online for the Police
Officers for decision making. Besides,
the network will provide a modern
means of internal communications and
information for public. A Software
firm has been engaged to work with
the Police Department which has figured
out the requirements of the Department
and proposed a working model for it.
