Introduction
E-Government is one of the major initiatives
under the present IT policy and Action
Plan. To pursue this initiative, the
Government of Pakistan is undertaking
a large number of projects in different
areas. One of the main objectives of
the IT Action Plan is to deliver public
services efficiently and effectively
without any delays. IT is the key technology
that will be used to deliver these and
other services. IT as a vehicle of automation
is to be used to transform the quality
of services to public. This unit is
responsible for communicating a major
bulk of information transmitted by the
provincial assembly, carrying all information
manually.
Provincial Assembly being one of
the most important entities has been
included into ADP 2005-06 for the
establishment of a comprehensive Management
Information System, which will become
a much improved source of service
to citizens of NWFP.
