Estate Office

A. Office Accommodation:
Arrangements of providing office accommodations for the following:
  All provincial Ministers, Advisors to Chief Minister and Special Assistants to Chief Ministers.
  All Secretariat Departments.
  All Attach Departments.
B. Residential Accommodation:
Allotment of Government owned residential accommodations to Provincial Ministers, Advisors to Chief Minister, Special Assistants to Chief Minister, all officers as well as non-gazetted Government servant of the Civil Secretariat Governor’s House, Chief Minister’s Secretariat and attached department posted at Peshawar. Matters relating to allotments such as allotments rules, maintenance of waiting lists, etc.
Maintenance of records and distribution of Housing Subside to the eligible government servants.
Processing of requisitioning of private / self hoses for the Provincial Ministers, all gazetted and non-gazetted Government servants posted at Peshawar.
Maintenance of record viz Cash books, pass Book and Ledger, reconciliation of expenditure with the Treasury Officer, Accountant General Office, etc.
C. Guest / Rest Houses
  Reservation of temporary stay accommodation at Peshawar, Islamabad, Abbottabad and Nathiagali for the Federal / Provincial Ministers, MPAs and Officers of the Federal / Provincial Governments. Reservation Policy and allied matters such as attendance of complaints against management, maintenance, etc
D. Security
The Estate officer is at the same time functioning is Security Officer thus is responsible for the following:-
  Control/Management at the NWFP Civil Secretariat Reception.
  Control over In and Out at the gates of NWFP Civil Secretariat. Settlement of complaints of the visitors against the gat-messengers and Police officials and vice versa against the public trying to enter the Secretariat without observing entry procedure.
  Liaison over the receptionists and gate-messengers; their posting / transfers and other establishment affairs.
  Issue of service Identity Cards and also vehicles cards to the Secretariat employees, both gazetted and non-gazetted .
E. Furniture
Arrangements for allocation of funds, purchases and distribution of office furniture to all offices of the Establishment & Administration Department.
F. Canteen
Affairs of Secretariat Canteen which involves selection of Contractor, supply of furniture, maintenance of Canteen building, fixing and control, over rates of Commodities, Periodical checking of cooking material and hearing of complaint, etc.
