Manage and regulate execution of repair, maintenance and furnishing works through contractors with involvement of consultants on need.
Fixation of rent/issuance of rent certificate and evaluation of all provincial buildings.
Preparing and approving demolition statements and arrange auction of unserviceable material of provincial buildings.
Processing appointment of consultants, where necessary; for the approval of the competent authority/forum as laid down under rules.
Maintaining all types of record of the existing buildings.
Promote, organize and facilitate private sector investment for the development of provincial buildings/projects related to housing/commercial Bulidings.
Process privatization/leasing out and contracting of Govt. buildings.
Manage collection of Revenue in respect of provincial buildings.

  1. Maintenance works proposed to be done.

    -     Renovation f houses presently occupied by the NAB (F) and its conversion into residential       accommodation for MPAs.
    -     Renovation of MPAs hostel presently occupied by the NAB (F) and its conversion in to        residential accommodations for MPAs.
    -     Widening of chowk in front of Governor House Peshawar.
    -     Renovation of Annex for Chief Minister NWFP in the Frontier house Islamabad.
    -     Construction on Chief Minister Annex in Frontier Rest House Abbottabad.
    -     Maintenance of works in their residential.

Demolition of Old Buildings

  1. In order to provide office accommodation to the Government servant within the premises of Civil Sectt: for better coordination and Convenience general public, large scale demolition of old and dangerous buildings of Civil Sectt: was taken in hand by PBMC under the Governors Directives. Similarly the old buildings of Central Jail Peshawar have also been demolished to provide space for widening of road and construction of Fly-Over. A sum of Rs.12.627 Million were received as scale proceeds on account of disposal of these buildings and deposited in Govt Treasury.

Privatization/Leasing out Govt Buildings

The Governor NWFP issued the following directives:-

  1. Process for privatization of Frontier House Abbottabad and Kalam be initiated forthwith.

All other Govt Rest Houses in Nathiagali, except the Governors House and Frontier House be also privatized/leased out given on contract.
Transparency and protection of the public interest should be the hallmark of the entire process.

The above directives were issued for the following reasons:-

  1. Huge expenditure was being incurred on the maintenance, upkeep and salaries of staff etc.of Govt Rest Houses with meager returns.
  2. Generation of funds for development activities on one hand and relieving provincial exchequer from unnecessary financial burden on the other.
  3. Promotion of tourism and creation of job opportunities in the areas.
